KINON
Superiority
As an alternative to natural vitamin K2, in eastern countries MK-4 is used in a doses of 45mg/day as a drug rather than as food supplement. It should be realized, that MK-4 has a very short half-life time (1-2 h), which is the reason why it is given three time daily in a dose of 15mg per helping. Even at this regiment its short half-life will result in fluctuating vitamin K2 serum levels, which explains the requirement of a high dose. Therefore, it is contraindicated in people on anticoagulant therapy.
Natural vitamin K2 as menaquinone-7 (MK-7) – KINON™:
- Longest biological half-life – 3 days (72 hours)!
- Constant serum levels and ability to provide continual MK-7 for enzymatic carboxylation of proteins in all tissues.
- More effective at doses that do not exceed the present recommendations for daily vitamin K intake (RDI – 75 µg).
- At low-dose 45 µg/daily, provides levels shown to be the highest consumptions in the Rotterdam study.
- Not likely to interact negatively with blood-thinning medications (warfarin) at doses up to 1mg/day!
KINON™ is verified by independent highly accredited analytical laboratory.
